The Boston Red Sox won the AL East and will be facing off against the Cleveland Indians in the ALDS. Their September surge is largely responsible for their playoff success, but how does this team stack up historically? Ian York checked to see how this Red Sox team stacks up historically with a few infograhics,  comparing the 2016 season to recent seasons, as well as a couple notable years.

These graphs include every Red Sox season since 2000 and the as well as the 1975 and 1986 Boston teams that reached the World Series.
