Pawtucket Red Sox (54-57)

PawSox lose sixth straight, this time in walk-off fashion, 3-1

Justin Haley handled the RailRiders over seven innings, allowing a run on four hits and a balk; striking out six. Williams Jerez yielded a single in the eighth and then gave up another hit to Miguel Andujar in the ninth before yielding a two-run walk-off roundtripper to Tyler Austin.

Sam Travis had three singles in four at-bats. Rusney Castillo produced the only PawSox run with his 13th bomb of the season; he also had a single in four appearances. Tzu-Wei Lin, Heiker Meneses, and Steve Selsky each swatted a single in four trips; Meneses adding a stolen base, Lin caught stealing. Deven Marrero and Jake Romanski each whiffed once in their three hitless jaunts. Ryan Court and Bryce Brentz each struck out three times in four frustrating forays

Portland Sea Dogs (52-57)

Sea Dogs plate four in the eighth, slip past Bowie 8-5

Dedgar Jimenez surrendered four runs on ten hits – including a DJ Stewart swat – and two walks in six frames. He also whiffed a pair and threw a pitch to the backstop. Jake Cosart coughed up one run on three hits and a wild pitch in two relief frames; striking out three. Bobby Poyner tossed a 1-2-3 ninth with one K.

Joseph Monge managed two singles, a hit by pitch, and a stolen base in five jaunts. Josh Ockimey blasted a double and his first AA jack in four at-bats. Jeremy Barfield bopped a single, drew a base on balls, and was plunked in five junkets. Jordan Procyshen pummelled a homer and drew a walk in four appearances. Chad De La Guerra golfed a single and took a free pass in five treks. Henry Urrutia and Cole Sturgeon each took two walks in four ups; Urrutia was caught stealing. Josh Tobias took a base on balls in four tries. Michael Chavis walked once in five forays.

Salem Red Sox (23-19/63-48)

Game One: Sox score five in top of the eighth, win 11-6

Roniel Raudes relinquished six runs on ten hits – including a moonshot by Eddy Martinez – and two walks in 4 ⅓ innings; striking out four. Harrison Cooney somehow dodged trouble in 1 ⅔ scoreless frames – he gave up two hits, two walks (one intentional), a hit by pitch and a balk while whiffing just one. Adam Lau picked up the victory with two scoreless innings, allowing a single and striking out two.

Jhon Nunez notched a single and two doubles in four at-bats. Former Astros prospect Conrad Gregor – newly signed from the New Jersey Jackals – connected for three hits (two singles and a double) in five attempts. Jose Sermo delivered a single, a double, and a walk in five junkets. Jeremy Rivera ripped two singles in five jaunts. Austin Rei and Chris Madera each muscled a single and earned a free pass in five matchups. Victor Acosta singled once in four ventures. Mike Meyers doubled once in five trips. Nick Lovullo looped a sacrifice fly and earned a base on balls in four forays.

Game Two: Sox leave eight on base in a 4-1 defeat

Kyle Hart handled the first three frames, allowing two runs on four hits – including a tater from Tyler Pearson – and a walk while whiffing two. Austin Glorius tossed the final three innings, giving up two runs on five hits – including a Zack Short shot – and two walks; striking out a pair and uncorking two wild pitches.

Jeremy Rivera reached base twice with a single and waa hit by pitch in four jaunts. Conrad Gregor reached twice with a single and a walk in three appearances. Bryan Hudson hit a single and stole a base in three trips. Tate Matheny muscled a double in three at-bats. Austin Rei and Chris Madera each received a free pass in four matchups. Nick Lovullo was unable to reach in two treks before giving way to Jose Sermo, who flied out in the sixth. Jordan Betts and Tyler Spoon each suffered a trio of fruitless forays.

Greenville Drive (20-20/61-48)

Drive reach .500 in second half, defeat Charleston 3-2

Hildermaro Requena allowed two runs on six hits, three walks, and two wild pitches over five frames, striking out a pair. Joan Martinez struck out six of the twelve batters he faced in four perfect relief innings.

Jerry Downs delivered a single and a double in four jaunts. Tyler Hill hit two singles in five at-bats. Carlos Tovar topped a single and dropped a sacrifice bunt in four trips. Bobby Dalbec drove a single and walked once in four appearances. Tucker Tubbs and Ryan Scott each scorched a single in four tries. Lorenzo Cedrola and Roldani Baldwin each blasted a hit in five attempts; Baldwin with a double, Cedrola with a pair of stolen bases. Brett Netzer was unable to reach in four fizzled forays.

Lowell Spinners (19-24)

Renegades score last, defeat the Spinners 11-10

Yorvin Pantoja coughed up seven runs on 11 hits – including a Deion Tansel tater – over 3 ⅔ frames; striking out three. Mitchell Osnowitz struck out six in 3 ⅓ innings, allowing three runs on five hits and a wild pitch. Ryan Oduber relinquished a run on two hits while whiffing two in two frames.

Samuel Miranda muscled a pair of doubles and a sacrifice fly in five attempts. Michael Osinski mashed a tater and a single in five at-bats. Marino Campana and Garrett Benge each blooped a single and earned a free pass in five trips. Yoan Aybar hit a single and was hit by a pitch in five appearances. Yomar Valentin walked three times and swiped a bag in five ventures. Alexander Martinez managed a walk and a plunking in four treks, and was caught stealing. Jordan Wren walked once and whiffed thrice in four jaunts. Raiwinson Lameda lifted a sacrifice fly in five forays.

GCL Red Sox (17-17)

Sox score six in the final three innings but come up short in 9-8 defeat

Alejandro Rodriguez barfed up six runs on eight hits, two walks, and a hit by pitch over three frames, earning his first loss of the year. Marcos Lantigua went three scoreless innings in relief, allowing two hits and two walks while whiffing a pair. Victor Garcia gave up a pair of runs on two hits, three walks and two wild pitches in 1 ⅔ innings. Kory Behenna gave up the winning run on two hits and a walk while picking up the final four outs.

David Durden had a perfect day at the dish with three singles, a sacrifice fly, and a hit by pitch. Pedro Castellanos contributed a single, a double, and a walk in six appearances. Cole Brannen bopped two singles and stole a base in six at-bats. Tyler Dearden delivered a single and a hit by pitch in four trips before being replaced by Kervin Suarez, who grounded out in the eighth. Alberto Schmidt swatted a single, drew a walk, and was plunked by a pitch in five attempts. Blake Swihart slapped a single and walked twice in six rehab sessions. Jagger Rusconi roped a single and earned a free pass in six jaunts. Andre Colon collected a walk and a hit by pitch in five forays. Jecorrah Arnold reached on a hit by pitch in five junkets.

The Red Sox left 14 men on base, going just 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position.

DSL Red Sox (33-18)

Bullpen woes strike again, Sox lose 6-2

Isaac Pinales pitched the first six frames, allowing two runs – one earned – on five hits; striking out four. Geraldo Perez coughed up four runs – three earned – in the final two innings, giving up five hits and a walk while whiffing a trio.

Keibert Petit punched two singles and swiped two bags in five at-bats. Reinaldo Ugueto ripped a single, walked twice, and stole a base in five ups. Marcos Martinez managed a single and a hit by pitch in four appearances. Angel Gonzalez golfed a single and stole a base in five trips. Ivan Houellemont slapped a single in the ninth as a pinch hitter for Luis Hernandez who was plunked once in three excursions. Rafael Rincones reached twice on free passes in his five attempts. Freiberg Marin walked once in four matchups before pinch hitter Jonathan Diaz popped out for him in the ninth. Fabian Andrade was hit by a pitch and had three hitless treks. Ronaldo Pulgar had four forgettable forays.

Red Sox offense left a dozen men on base and went a woeful 1-for-15 with runners in scoring position
