Pawtucket Red Sox (43-44)

Olmos and the pen shut down Buffalo, PawSox win 3-0

Edgar Olmos tossed the first six frames, giving up three hits and whiffing six. Noe Ramirez pitched the following two innings, walking one and striking out a quintet. Jamie Callahan notched a 1-2-3 ninth; striking out one.

Ryan Court contributed two singles and a stolen base in three trips. Pablo Sandoval struck two singles in four at-bats. Brock Holt stroked a single and was hit by a pitch in four attempts. Jhonny Peralta, Matt Dominguez, and Tim Roberson each ripped a hit in three excursions; Dominguez with a double. Rusney Castillo clipped a single in four chances. Brian Bogusevic was unable to reach in three appearances. Bryce Brentz had four failed forays to the plate.

Portland Sea Dogs (40-44)

Ysla yields a run in the ninth, Portland go down to the Fightins’ 4-3

Elih Villanueva allowed two runs on four hits over 6 ⅓ innings; striking out septet. Luis Ysla finished up, yielding two runs – one earned – on two hits and two walks; whiffing a pair.

Deiner Lopez laced a single and drew a walk in three appearances. Mike Olt, Jeremy Barfield, and Chad De La Guerra each earned a hit and a base on balls in four trips; De La Guerra and Barfield blasting bombs. Jordan Procyshen struck out once in his three attempts. Cole Sturgeon, Michael Chavis, Henry Urrutia, and Danny Mars each logged four futile round trips from the dugout to the plate and back.

Salem Red Sox (11-6/51-35)

Jimenez wins number nine, Salem shuts out Lynchburg 3-0

Dedgar Jimenez threw 95 pitches in eight scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and whiffing a sextet. Stephen Nogosek notched his third save, giving up a single in the ninth.

Victor Acosta accumulated three singles in four at-bats. Jordan Betts and Tate Matheny each managed a single and a walk in four trips. Jeremy Rivera ripped a single and dropped a sacrifice bunt in four excursions. Josh Ockimey and Tyler Spoon each stung a single in four attempts. Chris Madera delivered a single in five ups. Austin Rei picked up a free pass in four appearances. Jose Sermo struck out three times in four fruitless forays.

Greenville Drive (5-11/46-39)

Mata and the pen shutdown the Legends, 6-0

Bryan Mata gave up a single, a hit by pitch, and a walk in five frames; whiffing five. Hunter Smith surrendered a single and three walks in two innings. Pat Goetze gave up a double and struck out a pair in the final two frames.

Lorenzo Cedrola contributed three singles and a stolen base in five at-bats. Roldani Baldwin bopped a pair of singles, was hit by a pitch, and took a base on balls in five appearances. Granger Studdard launched a single and his first professional home run while drawing a walk in four trips. Tyler Hill hit two singles, took a free pass, and stole his 27th bag in five attempts. Ryan Scott scorched a single and a double in five attacks. Santiago Espinal slapped a single and was caught stealing in five excursions. Mitch Gunsolus drew a walk amid four hitless at-bats. Steven Reveles was unable to reach base in four appearances. Tucker Tubbs was sent back to the dugout in each of his five frustrating forays.

Lowell Spinners (8-10)

Lameda leads Spinners to victory, 5-2

Enmanuel De Jesus surrendered an unearned run on three hits and four walks in 4 ⅔ frames; striking out four. Mitchell Osnowitz picked up the final out of the fifth by K, but walked two and tossed a wild pitch to open the next frame. Dominic LoBrutto relieved him and yielded a run on four hits and two walks over 2 ⅓ innings; whiffing a quartet and uncorking a pitch to the backstop. Juan Florentino gave up a hit and hit a batter as he closed the game with 1 ⅔ frames; striking out a trio.

Raiwinson Lameda laced a double and a triple in four at-bats; driving in a pair. Brett Netzer knocked a single and drew a walk in four appearances. Yomar Valentin, Juan Barriento, Yoan Aybar, Jordan Wren, Marino Campana, and Samuel Miranda each managed a hit in four trips; Campana and Barriento belting doubles, Aybar adding a stolen base and a caught stealing. Garrett Benge took a pair of base on balls in four forays.

GCL Red Sox (7-5)

Sox can’t get a hit with runners in scoring position, fall to the Twins 3-0

Juan Perez pitched the first four frames, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out one and uncorking a wild pitch. Rayniel Adames tossed two innings, relinquishing a run on a hit, a hit by pitch, and three walks; whiffing a pair. Eduard Bazardo battled for two scoreless frames, yielding a hit and a walk; striking out four and throwing one past the catcher.

Jecorrah Arnold accumulated a pair of singles and was hit by a pitch in four trips. Xavier LeGrant laced a double in three at-bats. Trey Ganns walked twice and stole a base in four appearances. Cole Brannen, Juan Hernandez, and Juan Carlos Abreu each took a base on balls in four attempts. Alberto Schmidt was unable to get a hit in his only excursion after replacing Beau Hanna who struck out twice in three tries. Ricardo Cubillan and Ramfis Berroa each had a quartet of failed trips to the plate.

DSL Red Sox (20-11)

Torres and Gonzalez lead the attack, Red Sox down the A’s 4-2

Andres Jimenez allowed two runs on five hits and a walk in five frames; whiffing a quintet and unleashing a wild pitch. Manuel Ramirez relinquished two hits and a walk in three innings; striking out one. Luis Rivero struck out the side in the ninth, walking one.

Angel Gonzalez golfed a single and a double while being hit by a pitch in four trips; he was also caught stealing home. Luis Torres thumped a pair of doubles in three at-bats. Eduard Conde contributed a double, a walk, and a sacrifice fly in four appearances. Ivan Houellemont hit a single in three tries. Jesus Chacon was given two free passes and was hit by a pitch in four attempts; scoring twice and being caught stealing once. Willis Figueroa walked once amid three hitless excursions. Freiberg Marin, Alexander Martinez, and Fabian Andrade each suffered four frustrating forays.
