Pawtucket Red Sox (29-27)

Pitching whiffs 13 Bisons in 7-3 victory

Jalen Beeks picked up his first AAA win with a six-inning effort, yielding two runs – one earned – on four hits and a walk; striking out eight. Austin Maddox relinquished only a Dwight Smith Jr. home run in hit two frames, whiffing a trio. Noe Ramirez struck out two of the three men he faced in the ninth.

Mike Miller managed three singles in four at-bats. Ryan Court clubbed a double and a triple in five appearances. Rusney Castillo contributed a single and a walk in five forays. Brian Bogusevic and Allen Craig each cracked a single and drew a walk in four attempts. Bryce Brentz and Blake Swihart each swatted a single in four trips; Brentz adding a stolen base. Sam Travis traipsed to first with a walk and then stole a base amid three hitless appearances. Jantzen Witte went without, going hitless in four forays.

Portland Sea Dogs (26-30)

Longhi launches walk-off long ball, Sea Dogs defeat the SeaWolves 7-5

Teddy Stankiewicz surrendered three runs on five hits, three walks, and a hit by pitch over six frames; striking out an octet. Josh Smith allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits – including a gopherball to Gabriel Quintana – and two walks; whiffing a quintet.

Jeremy Barfield belted two singles and a double in five at-bats. Josh Tobias thumped a double and a tater in four trips. Nick Longhi’s only hit was the two-out, two-run bomb that ended the contest; he also drew a walk in five forays. Mike Olt obtained a double and a walk in his four appearances. Jake Romanski roped a single in four attempts. Tzu-Wei Lin and Rafael Devers each delivered a hit in five at-bats; Devers with a double, Lin adding a stolen base. Danny Mars dropped a sacrifice bunt and drew a walk in his four appearances. Joseph Monge reached with a walk and a hit by pitch in his five forays.

Salem Red Sox (38-23)

Red Sox score four in the third, dash by Winston-Salem 6-2

Roniel Raudes relinquished a run on a homer and two singles over five frames, whiffing four. Daniel McGrath yielded a run on a tater, two doubles, and a single in his four innings; striking out three.

Trenton Kemp singled twice and walked once in his four appearances. Mike Meyers managed a single and a double in his four at-bats. Jeremy Rivera roped a double and drew a walk in his four forays; he was also caught stealing. Jose Sermo, Michael Chavis, and Chad De La Guerra each swatted a double in four official at-bats; De La Guerra adding a walk and a stolen base. Josh Ockimey took two free passes amid two hitless trips. Tate Matheny drew a walk and stole two bases in his five forays. Austin Rei was unable to reach in his four attempts.

Greenville Drive (37-23)

Hart and Smith whitewash Augusta, 5-0

Kyle Hart gave up four hits and a walk in his 6 ⅔-inning start; striking out seven. Hunter Smith allowed two hits and struck out one in his 2 ⅓ frames.

Roldani Baldwin, Mitch Gunsolus, and Tucker Tubbs each thumped two hits in four at-bats; Tubbs with a pair of doubles. Ryan Scott scorched a triple and was hit by a pitch in his five attempts. Tyler Hill and Tyler Spoon each singled once in four trips. Chris Madera managed a single in five forays. Santiago Espinal drew a walk amid four hitless appearances. Carlos Tovar and Steven Reveles split second base duties; each going hitless in two trips.

DSL Red Sox (2-4)

Red Sox walloped by the Astros Blue, 9-1

Gary Calvo left during the first at bat of the game, being credited with a strikeout. Alejandro Rodriguez replaced Calvo, relinquishing three runs – two earned – on two hits (including a homer), two walks, and a hit by pitch; whiffing six. Manuel Ramirez allowed two runs on three hits, a walk, and a hit by pitch; striking out one and uncorking a wild pitch over his three innings. Antonio Police surrendered four unearned runs on three hits and four walks in his two frames; whiffing a quartet.

Alexander Martinez managed two singles and a walk in four trips; he was also caught stealing. Freiberg Marin doubled and walked in four forays. Rafael Rincones, Jose Mejias, Fabian Andrade, and Reinaldo Ugueto each had a hit in four at-bats; Rincones and Andrade with doubles. Luis Hernandez drew a walk, was caught stealing, and struck out thrice. Keibert Petit also took a base on balls and had three hitless attempts. Eduard Conde was unable to reach in his four appearances.
