Pawtucket Red Sox (29-28)

Buffalo scores three off the bullpen, PawSox downed 3-0

Hector Velazquez tossed six shutout innings, granting five singles and a walk while whiffing four. Jamie Callahan surrendered three runs over two frames, allowing a walk, a double and home runs by Jason Leblebijian and Mike Ohlman; striking out a pair. Ty Buttrey struck out two of the three men he faced in a perfect ninth.

Rusney Castillo and Sam Travis each swatted a pair of hits in four at-bats; Travis with a double, Castillo with a stolen base. Allen Craig and Mike Miller each managed a single in three trips. Matt Dominguez was unable to reach in three appearances. Blake Swihart, Brian Bogusevic, Steve Selsky, and Ryan Court each suffered four fruitless forays.

Portland Sea Dogs (27-30)

Lin single in the seventh is the winner, Dogs defeat the Wolves 4-3

Trey Ball allowed a pair of runs on six hits – including a Gabriel Quintana gopher ball – and four walks over 5 ⅓ frames; whiffing a quartet. Jake Cosart granted a run on a hit and two walks in his 1 ⅔ innings of relief; whiffing one. Williams Jerez yielded a single while striking out three in his two innings.

Tzu-Wei Lin, Josh Tobias, and Cole Sturgeon each stung a pair of hits in four trips; Lin with a double, Sturgeon with a stolen base, Tobias was caught stealing. Nick Longhi and Danny Mars managed a single in three official at-bats; Longhi also reaching on catcher’s interference. Rafael Devers doubled once in four attempts. Jordan Procyshen walked once in three appearances and scored the winning run; Mike Olt pinch-hit for him in the eighth and hit a ground out. Jake Romanski and Jeremy Barfield battled through four frustrating forays.

Salem Red Sox (38-24)

Pitching gets knocked around, Salem loses to Winston-Salem 10-4

Mike Shawaryn lasted just 3 ⅔ frames, surrendering four runs on five hits – including a Danny Mendick moonshot – and two walks; striking out a quintet. Mitchell Osnowitz allowed two runs on two hits and three walks while contributing four outs; he whiffed one and uncorked two wild pitches. Jordan Weems yielded four runs – two earned – on two hits and two walks over two frames; whiffing a pair. Austin Glorius gave up two hits and whiffed one in his inning of work.

Jordan Betts belted a single and a jack while drawing a base on balls in his four appearances. Jose Sermo and Jeremy Rivera each roped a single, stole a base, and earned a free pass in their four trips. Austin Rei rocketed a double in his four at-bats. Bryan Hudson, Mike Meyers, and Michael Chavis each contributed a hit in five forays; Meyers with a double, Hudson with a stolen base. Josh Ockimey and Trenton Kemp each drew a walk amid four hitless attempts.

Greenville Drive (37-24)

Cedrola single in the ninth prevents a no-hitter, Drive lose 7-1

Logan Boyd battled through 5 ⅓ innings, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks; whiffing a quartet and uncorking a wild pitch. Algenis Martinez surrendered three runs – two earned – on three hits and two walks; striking out a pair in 2 ⅔ frames.

Lorenzo Cedrola singled in the last of his four at-bats. Chris Madera took two free passes in four appearances, scoring the only run in the fifth. Isaias Lucena drew a walk amid two hitless attempts. Ryan Scott took a base on balls and had three hitless trips. Steven Reveles, Mitch Gunsolus, Tyler Spoon, and Tucker Tubbs were unable to reach in three attempts. Santiago Espinal had four fruitless forays.

DSL Red Sox (2-5)

Eight singles not enough, Sox defeated 2-1

Rayniel Moreno yielded a run on five hits in his five innings, striking out seven and tossing a wild pitch. Rafael Gomez allowed a run on five hits in his three frames, whiffing one.

Alexander Martinez managed two singles and two stolen bases in five at-bats. Keibert Petit placed two singles, drew a walk, and stole a base in four appearances. Ronaldo Pulgar and Luis Hernandez had a single and a walk in four attempts. Eduard Conde contributed a single in four trips. Willis Figueroa had a single in his only appearance after coming in for Jose Mejias who had three hitless at-bats. Freiberg Marin dropped a sacrifice bunt amid three hitless attempts. Ivan Jimenez grounded out in the ninth after replacing Jesus Chacon who suffered three hitless trips. Rafael Rincones had a quartet of futile forays.
