Ty Buttrey gave up a single while striking out four in 1 ⅓ innings. Austin Maddox picked up the final frame, yielding two singles in the ninth.
Josh Tobias and Nick Longhi each laced a trio of hits in five at-bats; Tobias with a double. Rafael Devers drove a pair of doubles and drew a free pass in five appearances. Danny Mars dropped a pair of singles in five ups. Mike Olt, Jake DePew, and Jose Rosario each roped a hit in four trips; Olt with his third homer of the season. Cole Sturgeon stung a single in five excursions. Joseph Monge put the ball in play in each of his four forays, but to no avail.

Jordan Weems yielded two unearned runs on a double, a hit by pitch, and a wild pitch; striking out two over 2 ⅓ frames. Adam Lau surrendered two runs on three hits and two walks over two frames; whiffing a trio. Bobby Poyner gave up a single, a triple, a walk, and a wild pitch in the ninth; yielding a run before picking up the final out of the contest with a strikeout.
Kyri Washington crushed a double and first homer of the season, picking up two free passes in five trips. Michael Chavis chipped in with a pair of doubles and a single in five at-bats. Chad De La Guerra delivered a single, a double, and a walk in four appearances. Tate Matheny, Jose Sermo, Jhon Nunez, and Nick Lovullo each laced a pair of hits in five excursions; Matheny and Sermo with a double, Nunez with his first bomb of the year. Trenton Kemp struck out four times and hit a single in his five ups. Josh Ockimey was the only man to not get a hit; going 0-for-5 and was picked off/caught stealing.
Greenville Drive (21-11)
Shaun Anderson survived the rough first to go five innings, surrendering all five BlueClaws runs (four earned) on six hits and three walks; striking out five and uncorking a wild pitch. Kyle Hart made his 2017 debut with two scoreless frames, giving up two hits and a walk while whiffing a trio. Stephen Nogosek notched his eighth save with two scoreless, allowing two hits and an intentional walk; striking out two.
Roldani Baldwin blasted two hits in four trips, including a two-run bomb that tied the game at five in the sixth. Tyler Hill and Mitch Gunsolus each garnered a hit and a walk in four appearances; Gunsolus with a double. Jagger Rusconi and Ryan Scott each scorched one hit in four at-bats; Rusconi roping a solo homer in the eighth, which put Greenville up for good. Jerry Downs was unable to reach in three excursions. Carlos Tovar, Chris Madera, and Lorenzo Cedrola each had four frustrating forays.
