Pawtucket Red Sox (48-44)

PawSox pound out 13 hits, demolish Syracuse 9-1

Marcus Walden tossed the first 5 ⅓ frames, allowing a run on four hits and two walks; striking out five. Kyle Martin gave up 4 hits and a walk; whiffing one in 2 ⅔ scoreless innings. Chandler Shepherd gave up a hit and struck out two in his ninth-inning appearance.

Mike Miller managed three singles and a walk in five appearances. Matt Dominguez drove two doubles and a single in five at-bats. Bryce Brentz belted his 19th bomb and a single while drawing a walk in five jaunts. Heiker Meneses and Aneury Tavarez each had a pair of hits in five tries; Tavarez with a triple and a homer. Rusney Castillo contributed a single in five ups. Rafael Devers drew a walk amid four hitless attempts. Tim Roberson was unsuccessful in four excursions. Jantzen Witte had five futile forays.

Portland Sea Dogs (43-47)

Owens blasted for four in the first, Sea Dogs downed 10-3

Henry Owens went four innings and two batters, yielding six runs on six hits, six walks, and a hit by pitch; whiffing a pair while committing a balk and uncorking a wild pitch. Josh Smith surrendered four runs – three earned – on five hits – including a Gunnar Heidt homer – and a walk; striking out a quartet. Trevor Kelley kept the Fisher Cats off the board the final 1 ⅔ innings; allowing three hits while whiffing one.

Michael Chavis clubbed a moonshot and a sacrifice fly in four tries. Deiner Lopez laced a single and drew a walk in four appearances. Danny Mars, Cole Sturgeon, Henry Urrutia, and Jake Romanski each ripped a hit in four at-bats; Sturgeon and Urrutia stinging doubles. Jeremy Barfield received a base on balls in four jaunts. Nick Lovullo struck out twice in three trips. Josh Tobias had four frustrating forays.

Salem Red Sox (15-9/55-38)

Ockimey leads off the 12th with a tater, Salem walks off with a 5-4 victory

Mike Shawaryn surrendered two runs on bombs by Isan Diaz and Cooper Hummel in his five innings, allowing two other hits and a walk while striking out nine and unleashing a pitch to the backstop. Marc Brakeman yielded a run on a hit and two plunks in two frames; whiffing a pair and throwing a pitch beyond the catcher. Gerson Bautista gave up a run on two hits and a walk in two innings; striking out two. Stephen Nogosek notched his first win for Salem with three scoreless innings, granting a hit and two walks while whiffing a pair.

Josh Ockimey’s walk-off homer was his third hit in six sessions; leaving him a triple shy of the cycle. Mike Meyers managed two singles and was hit by a pitch in five appearances. Jeremy Rivera ripped a single and a double in six at-bats. Jordan Betts bopped a single and drew two walks in five jaunts. Victor Acosta accumulated a single and a walk in five trips. Jhon Nunez knocked a single in five ups. Tate Matheny managed a walk and a hit-by-pitch amid four hitless tries. Jose Sermo had a walk in five jaunts. Tyler Spoon struck out thrice in five futile forays.

Greenville Drive (11-12/52-40)

Drive leave seven on base, stall out with a 3-1 defeat

Jason Groome gave up a pair of runs on seven hits – including a gopher ball to Alex Kowalczyk – and a walk; whiffing seven in five frames. Robby Sexton gave up a run on a solo roundtripper to Franklin Rollins, yielding four more hits and three walks in four innings; striking out two and uncorking a wild pitch.

Isaias Lucena laced a trio of singles in four at-bats. Lorenzo Cedrola contributed a single, a double, and a stolen base in four trips. Bobby Dalbec and Carlos Tovar each topped a hit and drew a walk in four appearances; Tovar clubbing a double. Santiago Espinal and Tyler Hill each hit a single in four excursions. Tucker Tubbs drew a walk in four forays. Steven Reveles went hitless in three attempts. Roldani Baldwin hit into a double play in the eighth after pinch hitting for Granger Studdard, who whiffed three times.

Lowell Spinners (10-14)

Florentino felled in the 10th, Spinners walk-off with a 6-5 defeat

Dakota Smith surrendered a run on six hits, two walks, and a hit by pitch in 5 ⅓ frames; striking out a trio. Devon Fisher allowed three unearned runs on two hits and a walk in his one inning of relief; striking out a trio. Juan Florentino pitched the final 2 ⅔ innings, yielding two runs on three hits – the final one a Cole Stobbe walk-off dinger – whiffing a pair.

Juan Barriento belted four hits – including a double – in five at-bats. Brett Netzer notched three singles in five attempts. Yoan Aybar and Tanner Nishioka knocked two singles in five trips. Garrett Benge bopped a single and drew a walk in four attempts. Nicholos Hamilton and Raiwinson Lameda each drew a walk in five trips; Hamilton also stole a base. Yomar Valentin was unable to reach in four tries. Samuel Miranda suffered five fruitless forays.
